It may not be a big deal to someone with a clear, pimple free face, but to a teen or adult suffering from acne, finding the best acne treatment is an important task! Maybe it shouldn’t be so prioritized, but in our society, our looks affect our self esteem in many ways.

Treating acne can be difficult and even with the wide range of products available, chronic breakouts can still be difficult to overcome. Which one is “best for you,” is really the question. There are natural ingredient products, prescription creams and antibiotics to choose from. Some of the latest techniques include blue light therapy or diode laser therapy.

I want them gone, and I already tried everything else. So can I go somewhere to get them removed?

I’ve tried so many products to get rid of my acne and nothing actually helped. Usually, I have clear skin, but around the tume of ovulation, I break out. Once my period starts, the acne goes away so the problem is clearly hormonal. I just want a spot treatment that dries up the pimple in a day or so, and really works based on your own experience. Links help.

Are there any natural remedies for acne treatment?

If so, what are they?

I am a 17 year old guy with severe acne. I have tried many things and they always seem like they start to work but then they stop working and dry out my skin. What is the best thing out there?

Ive had pimples/acne for 3 years now, ive been to speciallist and gotten treatment and my acne has improved slightly but is still pretty bad. Im only 15 so i cant take any hormonal tablets and I dont want to take pills with side effects. For now I use a topical treatment twice a day and a cream for night. Is there any small little things that might cause acne?

I do have the occasional chocolate, I drink alot of fluids and my motabolism is very good (so im skinny…. so its not my food :S). Ive also heard lavender helps.

And has any women out there had great success curing their acne with spironolactone? It’s supposed to help with hormonal acne. I would be happy to hear that this is an effective treatment besides accutane.
Thank you people for answering my question. I have tried Proactive, retinoids, clearpores, antibiotics, natural remedies, and countless over the counter products but to no avail. I doubt I would ever get accutane because my acne is only moderate and the list of side effects are scary. I suspect my acne is linked to hormones which is why i’m asking about spironolactone. I’ve researched quite a bit but cannot find out how many follow up doctor appointments i need while on this med. I’m going on vacation for a month and would like to start spironolactone before leaving but frequent doctor appointments would inhibit me from this. Any helpful answers are appreciated. Sorry for such a long story =]

I have cystic acne, and my doctor told me that I should definitely try Accutane. The only issue is that my insurance doesn’t cover it and it would cost over $1000 a month. I’ve been using the Murad acne process and that’s been working well for me, but that doesn’t work for the cystic acne under the skin, only the blemishes on the top layer. Are there any other medications or products that have worked on cystic acne that you know of? Thank you times ten in advance.
I’m already using a topical treatment called Murad. It’s basically Proactive x10 so that really won’t help me. That doesn’t take care of acne under the skin, only on top.
