Recent research has shown that the topic of how to get rid of acne scars is usually more devastating to young adults than it usually is to prepubescent teenagers. This is true even when acne treatments have been successful in removing acne. The problem is that even after using the best treatment for acne, you may need to follow up with an acne scars treatment to get rid of acne scars and pits left on your face.

Historically, getting rid of acne scars is something that young adults don't do for a variety of reasons. For some, the trauma they went through to finally get rid of acne was so much that they just don't want to do anything else that might jeopardize their good results. Others are concerned that it may require surgery which might make their scars worse. Still others believe that it is too expensive requiring things like cosmetic plastic surgery or an acne scar laser treatment.
